Excellent piece on Rap and the art form as a whole! Being introduced to two aliens (Eminem & Lupe) at the onset of your appreciation for this art form is wild. I remember hearing 'My Name Is for the first time on a road trip to Canada when I was eight and 'Kick Push' back in the 7th grade 😆
Regarding the quoted portion, Mickey Factz went to universities with a rap and linguistics course, but they all turned him down. So, he and Chilla Jones (Battle Rapper) created this school to teach anyone how to rap at the highest level.
I applied last week and attended one of the free classes. It was a great experience, and with your interest in rap, it may be of interest!
